## Description

Euro-Office Document Server is the back end of the Euro-Office office suite: it runs the in-browser editors for word documents, spreadsheets, presentations and PDFs, while a platform such as Nextcloud supplies file storage and the surrounding user interface. Maintained as an independent fork of ONLYOFFICE Document Server, it normally also runs plugins written for those editors, and WOPI can be switched on. Incoming and outgoing calls are protected with a shared token secret; the Nextcloud connector needs one of 32 characters or longer. Operator settings live in a local.json file on package installs, or in container environment variables that the entrypoint writes into that file; they cover the SQL store, the cache and the message broker, download and upload size ceilings, TLS, nginx behaviour, logging and StatsD metrics. You deploy it by pulling the GHCR image, installing a .deb on Ubuntu 24.04 or Debian 12, or an .rpm on Fedora 41 and newer; the image ships its own services but can be pointed at external PostgreSQL, Redis and RabbitMQ, and the collaboration, conversion and storage tiers can be spread over several nodes behind a load balancer. Known limits: it is deliberately not a standalone app, so there is no end-user interface or login of its own; the bundled sample app carries no access checks and should stay switched off in public deployments; community builds are unsigned and aimed at testing and contributing, with signed packages coming from the Nextcloud Office track; and several documentation pages, including licensing, are still marked as work in progress.
