## Description

Accounted is an open-source Swedish accounting platform for sole traders and limited companies. It provides double-entry bookkeeping that follows Swedish legal requirements, with database-enforced voucher immutability, sequential numbering, period locking, and seven-year document retention. The system exposes over 150 bookkeeping tools through the Model Context Protocol, allowing AI assistants to handle transaction categorization, voucher drafting, period reconciliation, and tax declaration preparation while requiring human approval for each action. Key capabilities include invoicing with multiple VAT rates and PDF output, PSD2 bank reconciliation via Enable Banking using four-pass matching, VAT declarations using the SKV 4700 form, tax reports including NE-bilaga, INK2, and SRU exports, payroll processing with AGI employer declarations, supplier invoice management, ISO 20022 payment file generation, Peppol e-invoicing through Qvalia, Skattekonto synchronization, SHA-256 verified document archiving, and SIE format import/export. Self-hosting runs via Docker Compose alongside a Supabase project providing PostgreSQL with row-level security, email/password authentication, and optional TOTP two-factor authentication. The application listens on port 3000 inside its container. There are no formal versioned releases yet; deployments reference specific commit hashes. The code is licensed AGPL-3.0-or-later with an exception permitting proprietary extensions that use only the documented Extension API.
